CD Edge Studs
CD Edge Studs
These beautiful earrings are handcrafted from compact discs and look like pieces of Murano Glass. Every CD 'gem' is two layers of CD - the label is stripped from the clear part of the CD, coloured and fired. Some of the silver label is left behind giving a unique silver pattern through each piece. When cool the processed CDs are made into very wearable pieces that are lightweight and very versatile. These long stud earrings are cut from the edge of the CDs, giving them a unique shape and 80s vibe.
The Stainless Steel is posts are hypoallergenic and 80% recycled, and the packaging is all recycled and reusable materials so you can make a sustainable purchase with confidence.
You will find many bright, gem like colours in this collection as well as clear and black. There is also a very popular ‘seaglass’ colour. These earrings are approximately 6cm long with the post 1cm from the top of the earring.
Every piece of upcycled jewellery in the KTCD range is handmade in North London. Due to the nature of the process each piece is unique and will not exactly match the photograph shown.
